K-Fed Plans a Music Comeback. To Woo Britney. And That Says It All!

The good days, when K-Fed was just Mr. Spears...

Only last year, we were bombarded with what has been called by the critics and public likewise the most horrific music album ever released. If Paris Hilton's debut material 'Paris' was equally poor to Kevin Federline's 'Playing With Fire' in terms of talent, at least she had one thing to redeem her as an 'artist': the fact that her tracks were catchy and intoxicating.

So, there was only one thing that saved Paris' album from being shelved from the moment it hit stores, aside from the heavy promotion and the millions of dollars that went into it: really great producers that knew how to alter Paris' voice so as to make it acceptable and beats that remained imprinted on your brains hours after the song was over. What, have you already forgotten about her 'Stars Are Blind', the most tormenting song of the past summer?

Well, in K-Fed's case, things didn't go as smoothly: he too took part in a heavy promotional tour for the album prior to its release but that didn't help with the fact that the 'rapper' had started his journey into showbiz with the biggest handicap ever: he was the man who married America's sweetheart and the general public sorta blamed him for her transformation from pop princess into trailerpark girl. Plus, his music sucked and no one really wanted to hear him bragging in all the tracks included on the album about how great his life as a 'superstar' was. Yeah, it was like rubbing people's faces in on his good life, banging Britney and spending her dough, and it eventually showed in the poor album sales.

As the weeks went by, Federline was increasingly more and more ridiculed in the media. His concerts were beginning to be canceled, his album did execrably in all the charts and every time one said 'K-Fed', you could hear a burst of laughter from somewhere nearby.

Well, apparently the man has a will of steel if none of the above hasn't yet convinced him that his calling is truly not music. Rumor has it that he is now thinking of quitting the rap industry (not that he ever actually belonged there, by the way) and preparing to make his foray into the romantic sounds. Take that for a change! Various media outlets are reporting that Federline is now heading back into the recording studio to start working on an album of covers that would allow him to accomplish two things simultaneously.

Numero uno, K-Fed will be back in showbiz and, hopefully, this time would be better than the first one and, secondly, he would get to woo Britney back. The man thinks that, if he covers classic hits like Sir Elton John's 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight', Marvin Gaye's 'Let's Get It On' and Britney Spears' 'Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman', his soon to be former wife will come running back to him.

Also, while you try to ignore the irony and ridicule of that last song that he reportedly chose to cover (hey, he could call it 'Not Rich, Not Yet Broke' or 'Not a Rapper, Never a Singer'!), figure this out: if the man can't rap, how on earth is he going to walk in Elton John and Marvin Gaye's shoes? Come to think of it, I'm going right now to see Celine Dion. They say she wants a 'fresh' (to read: untalented) voice to cover her 'My Heart Will Go On'. Word on the street has it that people are sick of hearing Celine's diva voice and that they are asking now for some raw bellowing. I just thought I might try out, maybe I fit...

P.S: The same goes for K-Fed, the rapper.
