The past week has been surprisingly slow on Britney news, which is a nice change given that over the past year, no day was a proper day without a hefty dose of Britney madness. However, we should have learned by now that the entertainment world is literally filled with people who were once somehow - even remotely - connected to Britney Spears. Like her former husband and baby daddy Kevin Federline, who just celebrated his 30th birthday with a party at Pure nightclub at Caesars Palace on Friday night. The surprising part however was not that K-Fed and his ridiculous haircut got the star treatment - but that the birthday boy was joined at said party by none other than the mother of his other two kids, Shar Jackson - and rumors are flying about a possible reconciliation.
Federline left Shar Jackson while she was still pregnant with one of his kids - but apparently, there are no ill feelings between Britney's former husband and his other baby momma. Jackson and a few of her girlfriends joined Federline for dinner at the Social House, and then moved the party over to the VIP booth at Pure nightclub. After a night fueled by booze and highlighted by a saucy rendition of "Happy Birthday" courtesy of the Pussycat Dolls, K-Fed and company finished the party at the late-night lounge Noir Bar inside Luxor. Throughout the night, witnesses claim Federline and Jackson reportedly snuggled close to one another. "They looked like a couple again", states an insider quoted by PageSix.
For anyone thinking K-Fed's party was a bit of an extravaganza and rather inappropriate for a father of four who claims he has no steady income, here's another interesting piece of news. Like any other serious star, K-Fed was paid to attend his own birthday party, for which rumor has it he cashed in anything between $100,000 and $300,000 - all that for simply putting in an appearance. Which goes to show that, in a world in which Britney is paying his lawyers' bills and other people are paying for the clothes and the parties, it's not really that bad to be Britney Spears' ex husband. Not by a long shot.
