The great corruption scandal in the Italian football has made its first victims
yesterday.

After allegations that appeared almost every day concerning the corruption inside the Juventus Turin football club, the entire board of directors in charge of "The Old Lady" resigned. So, after a full week for the Italian magistrates, Luciano Moggi, Antonio Giraudo and Roberto Bettega had to step down, before they would produce more damage to the club's image than they already did.

It was nothing unexpected about their decision, though. Especially since Juventus suffered a great loss in terms of Italian and European image that will probably haunt them forever. After all, the president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) himself, Franco Carraro, had to step down because of how things turned out.

So, basically, Juventus will have to end their Serie A season without any administrative executives, since the next shareholders meeting will take place on the 29th of June. That's when the new board of directors will be chosen. Until then, no one knows who will lead the way for Juve.

The "Triade" resignation practically brings an end to an era for the Turin club. The 3 executives were the main reason why Juventus did such a great job in the last decade in Italian and European football. Much of the winning seasons in the Serie A and the international victories of the club can be associated with them. The new Juve revolution might lead to Fabio Capello leaving the "Old Lady", especially since he now has plenty of offers. One last blow to the fans can be the decision of sending Juventus in Serie B next season. The rumors about this cruel decision are yet to be answered by the FIGC.
