Justin Timberlake, now seen in theaters with “In Time,” dropped by Ellen DeGeneres' show the other day to share some stories about his days in the Mickey Mouse Club – and to reveal that he actually was roommate with Ryan Gosling.

Both got their start on the show, as also did many other stars of today, including Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, but they were more than just co-stars: they were also close friends.

In fact, Justin tells Ellen, he and Ryan shared the same room for about half a year, when Justin's mother acted as Ryan's guardian because his own mom had to stay in Canada to work.

“Funny enough, his mother had to keep her job in Canada the second year that we were on the television show and my mom was his guardian for like six months,” the actor reveals, as the video below will confirm.

“So we actually lived together when we were that age,” he adds, pointing at a picture of the two on the giant screen. “So we were probably a little closer that the rest of the kids that were on the show just because we had to share a bathroom,” he adds.

However, living together for half a year wasn't the best part: he and Ryan also got into a lot of trouble, because they thought that was the “cool” thing to do at the time.

“We stole a golf cart. We were like 'yeah man, we stole a golf cart.' You know what it's like on a back lot – there are golf carts everywhere. We drove into MGM studios... which is totally illegal by the way,” Justin says laughing.

“I was like 'What do you want to do, thug?' and he was like 'I don't know cuz,' because that's definitely how we talked,” he adds, prompting Ellen to note he must have been really dangerous looking in his overalls, talking like that.

“I said 'I don't know man. I'm in the mood for some vanilla,' and he was like 'I'm in the mood for some chocolate.' So then we went and got milkshakes,” Justin further says.

In the same interview, Timberlake also admits both he and Ryan are too busy these days to keep in touch as they once did but, at the same time, he stresses Gosling is one of the most talented actors of his generation – and a great guy to boot.
