Production on Justin Timberlake’s latest film has gone on hiatus after the actor suffered a minor muscle injury that requires he take a few days off. Shooting will supposedly resume very soon.
Timberlake is now working on an action thriller called “Now,” also starring Amanda Seyfried – but it seems being an action star does come with a few risks, as Justin has already found out.
“Timberlake, who stars in the current hit The Social Network, suffered an injury to his calf muscle while filming his upcoming sci-fi thriller, Now this week,”
People magazine reports.
“A Fox rep tells People that production for the film, which also stars Amanda Seyfried, has taken a brief hiatus for the actor to recover but will resume shortly,” the mag further informs.
However, the injury is nothing serious, since Justin is believed to resume his scheduled activities in almost no time, it has been said.
Last time we heard about Justin, he was presumably mounting a very aggressive campaign to land an Oscar nomination for his part in “The Social Network,” for Best Supporting Actor.
Reports in the US media suggest that the actor is determined to ride the wave of excellent reviews for “The Social Network” by nabbing for himself a nomination in the Best Supporting category, especially since it would also help him sell future films.
Justin has never made a secret of his desire to make a name for himself as an actor, but, if accurate, the above would confirm that he would spare no expense to get there, even if that means paying for the Oscar campaign out of his own pocket – which he is, if one is to believe Internet gossip.
“Sony is footing the bill for advertising the awards campaign, but Justin is also doing things his own way, including attending Academy screenings on his own and privately reaching out to award winners and Academy darlings Tom Hanks and Kevin Spacey for campaigning advice,” an insider told PageSix just recently, as we
also reported.
