Directly from Paris, Mr. JT jumped on a plane and headed straight to London to promote his latest album and what is already called a hit pop sensation, 'FutureSex/LoveSounds'. The show went down at the London Hammersmith Palais on Thursday night.
In an incendiary show, to which only a handful of lucky fans got the chance to buy tickets, Justin Timberlake played many tracks from his multi-platinum 'Justified' and five brand new ones from his latest one: 'My Love', 'Until the End of Time', 'Love Stoned', 'What Goes Around' and 'SexyBack'.
During the latter, super-producer Timbaland also took the stage. Justin played the guitar and the piano, all the time accompanied by a full-scale live band. It clearly seems that those playback days are done and over with...
Yet, the surprise of the evening was an older single and, actually, the one that brought him international fame because it is suspected to be dedicated to his former lover Britney Spears. Yes, we're talking about 'Cry Me a River'!
What was so special about it was the fact that Justin chose to play a new version of it, mixing lyrics and beats from the Carly Simon classic 'You're so Vain', with a lot of stress on the chorus 'I bet you think this song is about you'. What can we say? In your face, Britney!
