Justin Bieber to Star as Himself in 3D Biopic, Write Memoirs

A while back, People magazine dedicated an entire issue to pop singer Justin Bieber, saying he was the closest thing showbiz has gotten to a musical and cultural phenomenon like The Beatles. The Biebs’ millions of fans all over the world can stand as proof for his massive appeal, especially since some of them are not even 10 years old. For all these fans, Justin has two huge surprises: a 3D film and a book on his life.

As Ryan Seacrest can confirm, the teen idol has just signed a deal for a 3D film telling his life story, from his rise on YouTube, meeting Usher and becoming the biggest teen star ever in a matter of just a couple of years. Not only that, but Justin will be playing himself in the biopic, which will also include real and never before seen footage from his concerts and, most importantly, everyday life.

“Next Valentine’s we r coming with a major 3D Movie telling the story with an Oscar winning director and also filmin the tour at MSG in NYC!!” Justin tweeted a few hours ago. “Paramount Pictures has made a deal to turn Justin Bieber’s life story into a 3D feature biopic. Davis Guggenheim, the Oscar-winning director of An Inconvenient Truth, is negotiating to direct. The film doesn’t have a title, but Bieber will play himself in the film. The pic will be sprinkled with performances from his current concert tour. The film will come out February 11, 2011 on Valentine’s Day weekend. Manager Scooter Braun and Island Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid will produce the film,” Paramount confirms.

And this is not all that Justin has in store for his fans, as he’s also about to start writing his own memoirs, word in the blogosphere has it. Harper Collins will publish the book, which will be called “Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever,” which will also included illustrations and will sell for $21.99. The book, advertised as Justin’s “official illustrated memoir,” will come out this October, which means fans only have a couple of months more to go.

Not long ago, it was confirmed that Bieber had also been cast for a multi-episode role on “Crime Scene Investigation,” in what is his first foray into acting. All in all, with a flourishing acting career (hopefully), incredible success as a pop star and two brand new projects, things are definitely looking up for the 16-year-old star.
