Justin Bieber is now being investigated for battery after getting into an argument with a neighbor and allegedly shoving him and spitting in his face. The DA is thinking of prosecuting him for that, it has emerged.

Though Bieber and his people are saying that he definitely did not assault the man – or touch him, for that matter –, the neighbor told the police that he was threatened, manhandled and spat at.

He went to Justin’s house to tell him to stop driving up and down the street at incredible speeds because he was proving a danger to the community and, instead, he was nearly attacked by an inflamed Bieber.

The LA County Sheriff’s Dept. is looking to prosecute the pop star, TMZ writes.

“Sheriff's investigators will refer the case to the LA County District Attorney for review after the investigation is completed, and the Dept. will recommend that criminal battery charges be filed against the singer,” the celebrity publication writes.

“Officially, the Sheriff's Dept. will say they have no recommendation yet because the investigation is not complete. However, our sources say a clear picture has already emerged, and not just over the alleged spitting incident,” adds the same media outlet.

“We're told members of the Dept. believe it's relevant Bieber has shown a pattern of disregard for the law, including speeding tickets, fights, threats, reckless driving, drugs and more,” TMZ writes.

Moreover, the same investigators are said to believe that this kind of behavior from Bieber is the first indication that he’s on a path to destruction or, as the same e-zine words it, “serious criminal conduct.”

So, even if they won’t prosecute, they might recommend that he get some help with his anger management and behavior.

Bieber told the cops after the neighbor filed the battery complained that he only had him escorted off the property because he would not leave, even when explicitly told to.
