14 DAY TRIAL // Troubled singer Justin Bieber could use some help coping with all the media attention these days, but he might get it from the last place he's expecting. Bieber's mom recently reached out to his fans and asked them to pray for her son.
A deeply religious woman, Pattie Mallette spoke with The Sun and revealed that Justin's recent antics have her fearing for his safety and well being. The singer is currently reported to be overindulging in the use of recreational drugs, as well as causing all sorts of other mayhem.
“I think so many people go into the entertainment industry with amazing Christian roots and they go in with the right morals and they get influenced somehow,” Pattie told the British newspaper.
Even if she walks the path of the Lord today, Pattie admits that in her younger years she too had bad run-ins with drugs and alcohol, which peaked at 17, also the age at which she gave birth to the pop singer.
“I started self-medicating with drugs and alcohol. Everything sort of came to a head by the time I was 17, when I tried to commit suicide. People pressured me to have an abortion. But I had a very strong feeling that I was doing the right thing. It was the best decision of my life,” Pattie reveals of her troubled past.
Now, she turns her religion in help for her son, admitting she prays for him every day. She has the same advice for all his fans and detractors out there: “If Justin's struggling, don't kick him when he's down or condemn him – pray for him.”
And it looks like Justin needs all those prayers.
At the moment, he's taking a break from music and he's been involved in all sorts of scandals. There was an egg-attack incident, a drug scandal, a rude photo scandal and now, in the latest round of news, there is a scandal involving him and some serious cash being dropped on exotic dancers at a gentlemen's club in Miami.
