The singer could be looking at jail time if convicted

Justin Bieber's luck seems to have just run out on him. After a particularly successful string of court dodges that saw him getting away from charges scot-free every time, he's now looking at a very serious conviction that could even result in jail time.

Just last week he managed to turn his DUI case in Miami when he was arrested by police officers into a plea deal that will see him taking just some anger management classes. There is no probation, no random drug testing, so it really seems that the singer managed to beat the system.

If that's what happened in Miami, the D.A. in Los Angeles doesn't plan to follow suit. He doesn't want to cut the Canadian singer any slack for the incident in which he egged a neighbor's home for some significant damages to the front of the building.

TMZ reports that the D.A. of Los Angeles County plans to charge Bieber with felony vandalism and not misdemeanor, as it was previously speculated. The D.A. is quoted as saying off the record that “If this isn't a felony, nothing is!”

At the time of the incident, the neighbor estimated the total cost to repair the damage done in the egg attack at a couple of tens of thousands of dollars, which is more than enough to classify this attack as a felony and not a misdemeanor.

At the time, there was a video shot by the neighbor's daughter with her phone, but Bieber isn't visible on the recording, although a voice similar to his can be heard in the background taunting the victim.

Police raided the singer's home after the incident and took surveillance tapes from the home's security system. While they failed to show Bieber throwing the eggs, he was spotted being out of the house at the time of the incident, hiding out behind a car with his friends, high-fiving each other.

The prosecution seems to be confident that this video and the footage captured by the neighbor's daughter will be sufficient evidence to convince the judge that it was really Bieber behind the egg attack and that he knowingly caused damage to his neighbor's home, with whom he had previous altercations.

The singer's legal camp will now have to prove them wrong, otherwise Bieber could be finally looking at some legal repercussions for his bratty behavior which he has been displaying since the beginning of the year.

Since then, Justin sold his property and moved out of the neighborhood where residents complained that he often held loud parties, sped through the streets at dangerous speeds and caused all sorts of disturbances.
