They've been one of the most mediated and photographed young couples in showbiz but chances are they're already going their separate ways. Various reports indicate that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are pretty much over. Only a short while ago, TMZ said that the two young pop stars had broken up. Today, the same media
outlet reports they're “on the rocks” but definitely heading for a split.
As it turns out, the breakup is some time coming, so it will most likely not surprise anyone from their entourage.
“He loves her... he loves her not – TMZ has learned, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have broken up multiple times in the last few months,” TMZ writes.
“Sources in a position to know tell us, Biebs and Selena most recently ended things last week – but have since decided to give their relationship another try... kinda. We're told Justin and Selena's current situation is tenuous, they're not 'solid,' they're just figuring things out,” the same media outlet reports.
As it happens, it's not the only one to comment on breakup rumors:
People magazine too claims to have it on good authority that, only a couple of days ago, Selena was seen crying her heart out over Justin Bieber.
They weren't tears for joy either.
“Is there trouble in paradise for Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez? A source tells People that Gomez, 19, 'was crying about Justin and was upset' during Ashley Tisdale's birthday bash last week,” People writes.
However, the publication also notes that paparazzi photos taken on the occasion showed Selena smiling and even allowing herself to be “twirled around” by Alfredo Flores, who is one of Justin's close friends.
Justin and Selena have been dating for about a year and a half. After repeatedly dodging questions about their relationship and facing serious backlash from the Beliebers (
Selena mostly), they confirmed they were an item with various red carpet outings as a couple.
Almost one month ago, in an interview with Elle Magazine, Selena gushed about The Biebs, saying he was
a hopeless romantic who always strove to surprise her.
