This has to be the head scratcher news of the day. The Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber has apparently landed a very special role in a very special movie, but the fact of the matter is that it might upset a lot of people.

After he was seen cruising the streets of Los Angeles in a car with David Hasselhoff, Justin Bieber has now reportedly landed the role of Kitt, the iconic car from the “Knight Rider” show from the ‘80s. The news is confirmed by comedian Jim Jefferies, who said that Justin would be replacing the original voice actor William Daniels as the voice of the iconic Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.

Jefferies said that “Justin Bieber is the voice of Kitt in this movie - you can't say that every day.” This sparked numerous talks, but it was finally confirmed by David Hasselhoff too.

The Hoff explained to People how the entire thing went down, “He (Bieber) called me and asked me for a favour. I called him back and said, ‘As a friend, could you do me a favour’. And he said, ‘Yes.’”

“And you know what? I did his favour first because I love the Bieb. I think he's a cool kid, and he gets a bad rap. He's a good guy, and I like his music. I've known him for five years, since the European Music Awards. I called him and said, ‘Would you do me a favour?’ And he said, ‘Yes,’” David concluded.

This is not the first role Bieber plays in a movie, but it is the first time he has taken on such an iconic part in American movie history.

The comedy is called “Killing Hasselhoff”

The movie is not an adaptation of the classic ‘80s series, nor is it a remake. Instead, it's a comedy entitled “Killing Hasselhoff,” and it's said to be about a man who tries to win a bet by hiring an assassin to kill the actor.

So far, it's still not clear how Knight Rider and Kitt are going to play into this, but what is certain is the fact that Kitt will be voiced by a Canadian bratty singer this time around.

But it's not all good news for Bieber. Yesterday, the singer complained on social media that he had managed to rupture an ear drum while cliff diving. He later revealed that he would have to undergo surgery in order to help preserve his hearing.
