Teen idol Justin Bieber is growing up – and it’s showing in more ways than his changing voice. The latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine brings an interview with Bieber the “Super Boy” in which he talks about anything and everything from love to the US health care, politics and what his stance on abortion is.

As a rule, interviews with Justin focus mostly on his amazing ascension to the A-list, how he was discovered by Usher and signed to a label, touring, plans for the future and, of course, the Beliebers.

Which is precisely why this Rolling Stone piece stands out from the rest because it hardly mentions any of topics listed above.

Instead, the RS interviewer wants to find out if Bieber understands politics, if he’s considering becoming a US citizen or whether he believes abortion is “murder” or not.

Not surprisingly, Justin doesn’t understand or care that much for politics. Asked for which party he’d vote if he were old enough, he says, “I’m not sure about the parties.”

If he tried to play it safe with that, his words next really did him in. “But whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad,” he says with conviction.

He’s just as firm when it comes to abortion, which should never be a solution for anything, not even in those cases when the child is the result of an assault, he says.

“I really don’t believe in abortion. It’s like killing a baby? […] Um. Well, I think that’s really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that,” he says.

What Justin does believe in is in love. The teen idol, who is now rumored to be dating Selena Gomez, says everyone should wait to make love until they meet that special someone they will fall in love with.

In the same Rolling Stone interview, on a more serious note, the singer says he wouldn’t want to become a US citizen even if for the simple reason that Canada’s health care is better.

“Canada’s the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills,” he says.

“My bodyguard’s baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby’s premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home,” the singer adds.
