Justin Bieber Splits from Selena Gomez

If you listen closely, you will hear millions of teen girls screaming for joy that their idol, Justin Bieber, is back on the market. The Biebs and his girlfriend of almost 2 years, Selena Gomez, have called it quits.

As of now, there’s no official confirmation on the breakup but E! News says it has it on very good authority that it’s been over a week since the decision to go their separate ways.

Contrary to other reports online, there was no third party involved in the split and, admittedly, no nasty jealousy fit: they simply realized things weren’t working out anymore, mostly because of their busy careers.

“Because of their crazy schedules, it was getting harder and harder to maintain a relationship,” says a source close to the (former) couple.

However, those fans already rejoining at the thought that Bieber is single should know that he has no plans of staying that way for long.

Only a couple of days ago, Bieber was one of the three performers at Victoria’s Secret annual show and, while there, he also tried his luck with some of the (younger, we assume) Angels, the New York Post writes.

“[He was] asking for phone numbers from the girls” backstage during the show and at the afterparty, an insider says for the publication.

It was obvious that he was hoping he’d find his next girlfriend there, even if only for a short while, the spy dishes.

“He was hitting on the girls all day. He was asking for their numbers,” the tipster shares.

Oddly enough, only a few weeks ago, both Justin and Selena were talking openly about their romance in separate interviews, explaining how they’d found a “recipe” to make it work and how perfectly happy they were with each other.

Then again, all of the above could be just another one of those silly breakup rumors that emerge with most, very popular stars every once in a while.
