Transition from teen heartthrob is complete with new sound, raunchy message

Justin Bieber can proudly say he’s completed his rather awkward transition from teen heartthrob to grown-up performer. Above is his brand new collaboration, on a song called “Lolly.”

Performed by Maejor Ali and featuring Juicy J, the song sees Justin rapping in his terribly awkward way, while flashing his gold chains, ripped abs, and newly acquired tattoos.

I’m not trying to hate on him on purpose, but with lyrics like, “I'm all fancy yeah I'm popping Pellegrino / I'm in the El Camino when I pull up on the scen-o,” it’s hard to embrace him as some great lyricist or rapper.

There is also the question of the “Lolly” song because the adult in me is outraged that this is what passes for music right now: a catchy tune whose message is not even close to the innocent visuals it comes accompanied by.

Listen to the words carefully and you will understand.

All this aside, “Lolly” is very catchy, so expect it to get massive airplay. It’s already causing serious waves online.
