Justin Bieber partied at Coachella over the weekend, mostly with rumored girlfriend Kendall Jenner, but for him, the party ended early. He was put in chokehold and kicked out of the festival when he refused to leave after being denied access to Drake’s concert.

Sources from Bieber’s camp tell TMZ that he intends to sue the security guards who manhandled him this way when he had every reason to be there, at the concert.

Misunderstanding leads to altercation

TMZ reports, citing sources at the venue, that Bieber arrived for the show surrounded by his usual entourage and security detail. He had clearance to be in the VIP area, with the other celebrities, but he was blocked at the door and told he couldn’t get in because it was at full capacity.

Bieber and his people showed off their wristbands, hoping this would make it clear they had every right to be in there. He also told security guards that Drake had personally invited him at the show, hoping this would make them understand who he was.

It didn’t.

According to the report, security told him and his people to stand down, which they refused to do, arguing that they must be allowed inside. Bieber didn’t want to have to attend the show with “regular” people because that would have meant him running the risk of getting mobbed. A minor altercation broke and Coachella security started escorting the entire group towards the exit.

This is when a Coachella staffer came and told Bieber that he would be taken backstage with Drake. He started to follow the staffer, but security jumped him and put him in a chokehold, forcefully escorting him outside.

Impending lawsuit

Obviously, one can’t simply put Justin Bieber in a chokehold and expect no retribution. The pop star and his people are convinced that he was wronged, and they want the security guards to pay for it.

Even though Bieber and his people were also belligerent, he is of the opinion that he should have been granted entry to the VIP area in time for the show.

In the end, the report argues, he left “voluntarily” because he didn’t want the situation to escalate even more, but he’s “considering taking legal action against the security guards.”

Over the weekend, an arrest warrant was issued in Bieber’s name in Argentina, after he reportedly sicked his bodyguards on a paparazzo, beating him up and taking his camera. Bieber suing someone for laying hands on him would definitely be a first.
