After this weekend Justin Bieber sent Instagram into a frenzy with a video in which he was skateboarding from outside a moving vehicle, the singer is now content to calm down spirits a little bit. The pop icon posted a video on Vine in which he sings a snippet of Jerry Lee Lewis' known hit “Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On.”

While many would argue that Justin's whiny voice is in no way, shape or form suited for this type of music, a significant number of his fans congratulated the singer on his short performance in front of the piano.

Later, Justin added a message on Twitter that read “If u don’t know Jerry Lee Lewis u are burnt.gov (sic),” indicating that he holds the great Jerry Lewis as an inspiration to his music. We have to be honest, Justin sure did pick some famous and important men as his role models, but the bad part is that none of their greatness is sticking with him.

In previous posts, Justin indicated that he was quite partial to the late actor James Dean and the late pop superstar Michael Jackson. Now he seems bent on proving that there's a little bit of Jerry Lewis in him also.

What do you think? Is Justin ruining rockabilly or is he up for the task?
