Security experts from Norman have come across a number of Twitter and Facebook posts that advertise content which features Justin Bieber. The topics range from adult pictures of the celebrity to videos in which he fights members of the media.

After analyzing this campaign, the researchers have concluded that the links contained in the shady ads point to websites that serve malware.

As many of our readers probably already know, malicious operations that leverage the name and reputation of a celebrity are not something new.

However, experts highlight the fact that these campaigns can record a great success because of the stars’ popularity among teens who don’t know much about information security.

So, before letting you children surf the web freely, be sure to teach them about the dangers that may hide behind each innocent-looking link, as you never know what credit-card-stealing malware might end up on your computer.
