14 DAY TRIAL // Justin Bieber hardly gets any love in public these days. If it’s not the bloggers trashing him for whatever reason, he’s getting booed at the games – which is exactly what happened the other night, when he took his mom to catch the Clippers game.
The pop star is famously close to his mother Pattie Mallette: until not long ago, she used to accompany him on tour and would always offer him a shoulder to cry on or just rest his head, as per her own words. She’s always been his rock, offering him stability in a very hectic life: the life of the biggest teen superstar on the planet.
On Mother’s Day, Bieber treated his mom to an outing that also included courtside seats at Staples Center, LA, for the LA Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder NBA playoffs game. The photo above was snapped on this occasion and posted by Justin to his official Instagram account.
What he doesn’t say on his social media feed is how he was booed when his face popped up on the big screen, and how much hate he got for no other apparent reason than the fact that he attended the game.
“The entire placed booed him when Staples Center cameras put him on the jumbotron,” an eyewitness says for E! News, which goes on to say that Bieber got a very “chilly” reception.
If he did, he certainly paid it no mind, because he was determined to show his mother a good time. “Took my mom to the game.. She's more focussed on the food,” he wrote in the description of the pic.
“Happy Mother's Day to my amazing mom @pattiemallette. I love u with all my heart!! #HonorThyMother #HappyMothersDay,” he tweeted hours before.
Say what you will about Bieber – and plenty of things have already been said, be it about his music or his bad-boy attitude – but he definitely loves his mother and wants to treat her the way she (and every mother out there) deserves.
Other similar occasions when Bieber was super adorable to his mother come to mind when speaking about their relationship, like that time when he surprised her during one of his concerts, asking her up on stage to blow out the candles from her birthday cake, or when he brought her as his date to several major events and would not let her out of his sight all the time.
So, booing or no booing, Justin and Pattie probably had a blast.
