Singer Ariana Grande and rapper Big Sean have been dating for less than a year, but he’s feeling very territorial where she’s concerned and would not let another (young) man lay hands on her, if only for show. This applies even if that young man is Justin Bieber, with whom he happens to be friends.

The Biebs has been doing surprise appearances in Ariana’s recent shows (she’s on tour now), and on his most recent, he got a bit too close for Big Sean’s comfort. Thus, a new Twitter feud was born.

“This kid is about to learn”

There are at least a couple of tweets allegedly coming from Big Sean’s official feed on this topic, including photos that show that he was not at all happy to see his girlfriend groped on stage like that.

You will find them embedded below: they were deleted very quickly, but screencaps are still making the rounds. The second one makes it clear where Big Sean stands on the issue of other men touching his girlfriend: “This kid is about to learn not to touch my girl like that. Belieb that,” he wrote.

As it happens, many fans are siding with him on this one: while hugging and holding hands is ok on stage because it’s part of the performance, nuzzling Ariana’s neck and reaching for kisses might be crossing the line.

If Big Sean is upset, he has every reason to be, they say.

The third tweet below is a recent one from Ariana, after this “feud” blew up all over social media. She doesn’t name Big Sean in it, but she can only be talking about him.

Justin, on the other hand, has said nothing on the topic except to thank fans for the warm welcome and to promise that he’d be touring soon on his own.

Big Sean claims tweets are fake

As soon as the story blew up, someone from the rapper’s camp reached out to TMZ to say that the tweets circulating aren’t from Big Sean’s official account. They don’t say that he was hacked (which is a very convenient excuse among certain celebrities whenever they don’t want to admit to doing something), but they insist that the tweets are fake.

Apparently, “Justin and Sean are good friends ... and that he and Ariana are just fine,” As such, he would have no reason to publicly lash at his friend for getting a bit too carried away during a performance.

Here’s a video of one of Justin’s more recent appearances on Ariana’s shows.
