It's tough when the crowds at home no longer have any appreciation for you. Granted, Justin Bieber hasn't been giving Canadians a good image in the world these past few months, as his antics have reached an all-time high.

So it should have come to no one's surprise that, as the Canadian singer was announced at the Juno Awards in Winnipeg, his name was met with boos and jeers by the crowd. Once the darling of Canadian crowds, playing to packed venues, he now looks to be slipping from grace.

He was supposed to claim the Juno Fan Choice Award, but oddly enough, he got the most boos for the popular star he was billed to be. Sure, there were those that cheered, but at the MTS Center the predominant sound when Justin's name was announced was that of displeasure.

Luckily for him, Justin wasn't even present at the event, as the Canadian Olympic women's curling team accepted the prize for him, according to The Hollywood Reporter. So, in this way, Justin was spared the embarrassment of the scene.

Fellow Canadian musician Serena Ryder chose to defend the pop artists, claiming on stage that he “is an amazing musician and he deserved every bit of that award because he's been working his [expletive] off his entire life and we need to support how awesome he is,” she flared.
