14 DAY TRIAL // Justin Bieber is dealing with a major image crisis these days, and it’s mostly due to the fact that what he says isn’t reflected in what he does. He may preach optimism, good behavior, love, and acceptance but, in real life, at least according to reports, he’s acting like the biggest jerk around.
Arrived in Perth, Australia, over the weekend for a stop on the Australian leg of his tour, Justin actually took the time out of his busy schedule to shamelessly insult one of his female fans, a girl who is described by eyewitnesses speaking to News.com.au as a gorgeous, size 14 young girl.
It all went down by the pool at his hotel, where Justin and his bodyguards were taking in the sun. Also there was a group of Beliebers, including the girl Bieber referred to as “a beached whale.”
“There were four young girls in bikinis. One girl who was gorgeous looking, with long dark hair and would have been about a size 14. Justin looked over at her and said ‘What are you, Hawaiian or something?’ She said ‘No, I’m not.’ Then he said ‘You look like a beached whale…’,” hotel guest Helen Robinett, who was there with her daughter, reveals.
“The girl said ‘Are you serious’ and he said ‘You should go on The Biggest Loser.’ The whole pool deck heard him call this beautiful young girl a beached whale. Everyone heard. And there was silence. It was almost like his security were used to it,” Robinett continues.
She says the girl and her friends left the pool shortly afterwards, all looking terribly upset by what had just happened, and understandably so, if you think about it. It’s bad enough to have a stranger come up to you just to insult you because they think you’re too heavy, but it’s probably even worse for a teen girl to have these things thrown in her face by her idol, a celebrity whom she worships and would probably give her right arm to get to speak with.
Robinett went to hotel management and complained about the incident, but she was told that the girl was a Bieber fan and that she was “OK” and did not want the matter pursued. So, they were helpless in this regard.
A second hotel guest confirms that Bieber was, indeed, being a jerk to the young fan.
“I saw Bieber make a gesture with his hands to imitate a large belly as he spoke to the long haired girl and I heard him say something about The Biggest Loser and he was pointing at her – and I saw the girl and her friends leave, downcast. I also told her not to take any notice of him as she walked past us, I’m not sure if she heard me. Bieber seemed to think he was funny, he was smiling and looking to his burly minders for their approval,” the woman says for the same media outlet.
Bieber is yet to comment this, either through his rep or on social media. This seems like one of those cases where his silence would confirm the incident happened because, if it did, there’s probably little he could say in his defense about it.
