Justin Bieber Attacked with Water Bottle in Concert

Justin Bieber, the teen pop phenomenon that has set the hearts of his female fans on fire these past couple of years, has been attacked in concert – with a water bottle.

Few are those who’d take a dislike to The Biebs and still pay money to see him in concert, but the star had an encounter with one such hater back in December, during a live concert.

It took eight months for the video to surface online, NineMSN points out – though how exactly this came to happen can’t be determined right now.

The singer was performing for US radio station 107.9. He stopped to thank his fans for coming down to the venue when the water bottle, thrown by someone from the crowd, hit him.

The bottle hit Justin straight in the head, with the footage shot showing him turning his back to the audience and lifting his hands to his forehead.

“Ow, that didn’t feel good,” Justin cried. “I don’t know why she just threw that at me,” he adds.

Reaction online regarding the incident (or, more like it, the recently surfaced footage showing the incident) has been mixed, the aforementioned publication says.

TMZ, for one, has praised the teen singer for taking it “like a man.” “Instead of crying or whining or falling down [he] proceeds like nothing ever happened,” the site writes.

Others, though, were less appreciative of The Biebs’ efforts of braving it out, with one site in particular saying the attacker acted on behalf of millions.

“The identity of the water-bottle sniper is unknown, though he was acting on behalf of what must be millions of people,” Now Public says.

Bieber is not the only one to have been attacked by people in the audience live in concert. More recent examples include Axl Rose from Guns N Roses and Pete Doherty of The Babyshambles.

While the former was also pelted with water bottles and fled the stage in a furry, Doherty was attacked with bagels – but not only did he not cut short his set, he even picked one up off the floor and ate it.
