Flycell, a New York-based entertainment company that you might be familiar with, has just launched a new ringtone in order to help the Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) charitable organization. Named "
Just Stand Up!", the ringtone is based on the homonym song (recently recorded by a group of star musicians) and it will bring SU2C $1 every time a user downloads it.
All of Flycell's website visitors can easily download the "Just Stand Up!" ringtone for their phones, offering SU2C the chance to speed-up cancer research progress.
Exclusively produced for SU2C by Kenny Edmonds (aka "Babyface") and L.A. Reid, the song "Just Stand Up!" has gathered lots of famous artists, including: Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Sheryl Crow, Fergie, Rihanna, Ashanti, Ciara, Keyshia Cole, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Leann Rimes, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus and Melissa Ethridge.
Talking about the charitable collaboration with Stand Up To Cancer, Lindsey Weinger, vice president of Web Experience at Flycell, stated, "Flycell’s participation in the SU2C campaign strives to continue the positive buzz for this song following its debut in the nationwide telethon. By donating $1 for each Just Stand Up! mobile ringtone downloaded, we hope to continue to draw attention to a worthy cause among our subscribers, giving them a way to personally express their support and give back to cancer research. Customers can feel good about downloading this ringtone not just because it features their favorite artists, but because it is also making a difference."
Established in order to raise funds for finding a cancer cure, the Stand Up To Cancer organization has recently held a US nationwide fundraising event where more than 50 personalities were present. The Stand Up To Cancer event was aired on CBS, NBC and ABC at the same time (on September 5), raising $100 million for bringing new therapies that can fight against cancer.
