The singer and her husband Carey Hart are getting a divorce

It was one of the divorces waiting to happen, yet it still makes me kind of sad when I think about it. Pink, everyone, is finally divorcing her husband - and it looks like both of them will be going home alone from now on. What was that song? Oh, yes - "just you and your hand tonight". Ironically, that kind of fits now. The singer and her motocross racer husband Carey Hart were married for little under two years. The rumor - which had been going round for a couple of months now - was finally confirmed by Pink's publicist Michele Schweitzer, who stated that "Pink and Carey Hart have separated. This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another. While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger".

The fact is, this divorce was like a disaster waiting to happen - the main reason being that Pink and her womanizing hubby agreed to have what could be called an "open marriage". This essentially meant that Hart was allowed to "play away from home" (that is, cheat on his wife) while she was away on tour, or their respective professions kept them apart.

Now, I'm not married, but I think that sounds like a very, very bad idea, and it was obvious that in the end, one of these two was going to get hurt. Apparently, in their case it was Pink herself, who, as her friends repeatedly revealed, started regretting her decision of allowing Carey to sleep around and reportedly started talking about having children.

The fact is, things between the rock singer and her husband haven't been working out in a long time, and there have been widespread reports about Hart's many affairs. Here's just an example - a friend of Carey's who claims Carey frequently enjoyed one night stands and most of the times behaved like he was not married at all. "It sure didn't look like he was married that night! He had a cute blonde in a tight dress sitting on his lap all night. They were laughing and drinking vodka with her arms wrapped around him in a corner VIP booth. Carey never mentioned Pink the entire night", says the source, quoted by the Daily Mail. Just last weekend, Carey was photographed in Vegas getting up close and personal with yet another lady.
