Also Wii Fit Plus

At long last after a reign of about two months, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been finally taken down from the top position of the United Kingdom videogame chart. The first person shooter, the best selling title of 2009, had a good run but has suffered the shame of being replaced by a very casual offering from French publisher Ubisoft, titled Just Dance.

Just Dance is pretty similar in concept with Dance Dance Revolution, as it requires players to use the Wiimote while imitating the moves a dancer pulls on the screen of the Wii. The tracks list includes such classics as “You Can't Touch This” from MC Hammer, “Hot N Cold” by Katy Perry, “Pump Up the Jam” from Technotronic or “Who Let the Dogs Out?” from the Baha Men.

Second place in the United Kingdom chart has been taken by Wii Fit Plus, another Nintendo Wii title that seems prepared for a long run on store shelves, just like its predecessor. Modern Warfare 2 only managed to take third, although it could bounce back as more map packs are announced by Infinity Ward.

The only new entry in the chart is Army of Two: The 40th Day from Electronic Arts, which hopes to wash away the bitter taste of the first title in the series while offering more team-based flanking firefights. The new comer has pushed Wii Sports Resort back to fifth place, one down, but the Nintendo titles will probably come back up in the coming week.

Darksiders from THQ is in sixth place, followed by Bayonetta from SEGA, which still makes destroying demons look easy in seven. FIFA 10 has fallen two places to reach number eight in the UK chart, while James Cameron's Avatar: The Game from Ubisoft occupies the ninth position. Assassin's Creed II closes up the chart.
