The entire experience will be more connected and social

Video game publisher Ubisoft is revealing not just one but two video game experiences based on the Just Dance concept at its E3 2014 press conference, with a traditional 2015 title that will include more tracks and mechanics and a new Now concept, designed to encourage a more social experience.

The track used for the official trailer is Summer from Calvin Harris and gamers will also be able to dance to songs from the likes of Pharrell Williams, Ellie Goulding and many more.

The Now title is designed to encourage all those who have a smartphone and an Internet connected device like a tablet, a television set or a PC, in order to interact with other players and create new routines together.

The Just Dance series has performed well for Ubisoft and it makes sense to deliver a set of new experiences for it, which seem designed to move the series more towards the social space while focusing on the major hits of the moment.

It will be interesting to see whether gamers continue to play the new titles or if they will sell a small number of copies because of a market that's already saturated with rhythm-driven game experiences.
