Just Cause 3 Set for 2012 Release, Rumor Says

A brand new report indicates that Avalanche Studios is hard at work on a new Just Cause game, the third in the series, which is getting ready to be released sometime in 2012.

The Just Cause series made a decent effort of delivering a rich open world with the first title, but the second really made it a favorite among many gamers due to the array of outlandish things you could do and destroy within its expanded open world.

Now, it seems that Avalanche, its creator and developer, is working on a new game, Just Cause 3, which is rumored, according to the Xbox World magazine, via CVG, for a release in 2012.

Avalanche made it clear that 2010's Just Cause 2 might see a follow up in the future, but declined to confirm just when that might happen. Now, as the Scandinavian studio opened up a new branch in New York earlier this year, it's safe to say that work on a Just Cause game is underway.
