14 DAY TRIAL // Just Cause 3 features an enhanced grapple system that lets players shoot and do other things while grappling towards an actual target. What's more, players can also start moving around the world like Spider-Man, using grapple wires instead of web slings.
Just Cause games have delighted millions of fans all over the world with their intense gameplay and the explosive mechanics. Without a doubt, one of the trademark features is the grapple gun, which allows protagonist Rico Rodriguez to perform all sorts of crazy stunts.
You can perform other actions while grappling
Developer Avalanche has already confirmed that the upcoming Just Cause 3 allows for up to three points to be grappled between one another, and now it mentions, via GamesRadar, that players will be able to perform other actions while grappling towards a target.
More specifically, in previous titles you weren’t able to do anything while grappling, but in Just Cause 3 players will be able to shoot and perform all sorts of other actions while going right towards their target.
"In Just Cause 2, all other inputs were muted when you were reeling into a point with the grappling hook," Design Principal Francesco Antolini says. "In Just Cause 3, not only can you shoot while grappling, you can grapple on to an enemy, reel in for a dive kick and shoot while you’re doing so, before moving the camera and launching another grapple off."
Among the other things players can do while grappling is shooting another grapple, enabling them to easily move around the world in a process called by Avalanche's employees Spider-Manning, as it resembles Spider-Man shooting his web slings.
Coupled with the new wing suit and the returning parachute, players will be able to get around Just Cause 3's Mediterranean island setting in a variety of ways.
Look forward to the game's debut in fall of this year for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms worldwide.
