Jurassic Park: The Game, a brand new cinematic adventure that takes players back to Isla Nublar and continues the classic story from 1993, has been released for multiple platforms, including Apple’s iPad.

Unlike the full-fledged console and PC versions of the game, the iPad port is labeled ‘episode one’ and sells for 7 bucks in the iTunes App Store.

The game is said to take advantage of the dual-core A5 processor, as well as AirPlay mirroring and dual-screen capabilities in iOS 5.

Set during the events of the original motion picture directed by Steven Spielberg, Episode 1: The Intruder begins during the last half of the first Jurassic Park film, where the island's security fences fail and the dinosaurs run amok.

“When Nedry fails to deliver the stolen dinosaur embryos, his contact Miles ventures into the dark jungle with Nima, a professional smuggler. Elsewhere, park veterinarian Gerry tours Jurassic Park with his daughter Jess in what he thinks is a safe area of the island,” the plot goes.

Telltale said this new Jurassic Park game is the first-ever simultaneous, multi-platform launch in the company’s history.

It’s also its first retail launch as an independent third-party publisher for the Microsoft Xbox 360 game console.

“Jurassic Park: The Game continues a series of ‘firsts’ for the company and highlights the strategic transformation we’ve undergone to become a multi-platform publisher,” said Telltale co-Founder and CEO, Dan Connors.

“This holiday, millions of consumers will be able to experience this all new Jurassic Park adventure on their favorite video game platform. Selectively adding a retail component to complement our digital publishing efforts is a milestone in the company’s development since it ensures product availability in every major distribution channel,” added Connors.

You can download the Jurassic Park game episode for your iPad 2 running iOS 4.2 or later using the link below. The remaining three episodes, priced at $6.99 each, will be released soon, according to Telltale Games.
