Microsoft has officially confirmed the different titles that will be offered for free via the Games with Gold program in June, with two great ones for Xbox One, and three for the Xbox 360, including Halo: Spartan Assault, Dark Souls, and more.

Microsoft is preparing big changes for June, as not only will it debut the new and cheaper Xbox One bundle without the Kinect, but it also start giving away free games to Xbox Live Gold subscribers on Xbox One as well as Xbox 360.

According to an announcement on the Xbox Wire, throughout next month, Xbox One owners with Gold subscriptions can download and play Halo: Spartan Assault and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. No exact dates have been set, so expect Microsoft to make another announcement soon enough.

Halo: Spartan Assault delivers a new type of experience in the famous franchise, in the form of a twin-stick shooter that focuses on Spartan Sarah Palmer and her efforts to stop the Covenant as part of the UNSC. The title has appeared already on a variety of platforms, from the Xbox One to the Xbox 360, Windows Phone 8, and PC.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is a new side-scrolling puzzle platformer that continues the story of Max and the Magic Marker. This time around Max travels into a fantasy realm and needs to rescue his brother by infusing his marker with a series of elemental powers.

Xbox 360 owners will be treated with quite a few different games, starting with the classic Dark Souls, which is available between June 1 and June 15. After that, Charlie Murder will go free between June 16 and June 30.

Dark Souls delivered a new and quite challenging role-playing game a few years ago, with From Software taking all the lessons it learned after Demon's Souls, while keeping the tough-as-nails difficulty.

Charlie Murder is a side-scrolling brawler in which Charlie needs to defeat a zombie apocalypse either alone or with the help of three other friends, via the cooperative mechanic.

In the same period of time, Microsoft is celebrating the anniversary of its Games with Gold program and is offering a bonus free game, in the form of Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition.

Capcom's iconic fighting game has been refined throughout the years, and SSF4: AE is the current pinnacle, at least until the Ultra Street Fighter 4 expansion debuts later this year.

Expect dates for the Xbox One Games with Gold to be confirmed next month at Microsoft's E3 2014 press conference.
