At 52 years old, Julianne Moore is anything but “old,” but she’s using the word with a sense of humor in her brand new interview with Health magazine, in which she talks about her varied workout routine.

The actress, who can now be seen in theaters all over the world in the “Carrie” remake opposite Chloe Grace Moretz, is also considered one of the most beautiful and fit women in showbiz.

Speaking about her enviable slim figure, Moore reveals it’s all down to the ol’ healthy exercise routine, which she strives to keep as varied as possible to avoid injuries.

“I try to do Ashtanga yoga two to three times a week. I’ve also started working out with a trainer, doing light weights and a lot of jumping around,” the actress says.

Whenever she’s outdoors, her favorite workout is paddle boarding, but she jokes that she must not be doing it right because she really doesn’t feel like it’s “the kind of exercise people say it is.” She does it for fun mostly – and “fun” is the key word here.

“Age” is another one.

“The main problem is I can’t do anything six days straight because I get hurt. That’s the thing about old age – eventually your hip starts to hurt and you have to switch to do something else,” Moore explains.

If she does happen to injure herself, the actress turns to acupuncture, which has helped her a lot in the past, both with back pain and insomnia.

“I also had a period after my mother died where I couldn’t sleep. I mean, I was just in shock for the longest time and didn’t sleep for, like, a year. I was just a wreck. And I had some really intense acupuncture treatments, and it kind of reset my nervous system. So I think it’s very helpful,” Julianne recalls.
