Why? Because she got hit in the face with a huge ball, and everyone got to see the instant replay in super slow motion.
Jimmy Fallon, the inventor or weird games on nighttime television talk shows, just keeps coming up with these weird ideas that somehow celebrities who come on his show seem to like and actually agree to take part in.
We can understand water wars and rap battles but Face Balls? That's a little disconcerting to say the least. But Julia Roberts didn't seem to mind getting her face squashed by a giant beach ball not once, but twice.
If the first time, Fallon seemed to be going easy on her, the second time, when he was wielding a bigger ball, he really let her have it, and in the replay you can actually see her nose getting squashed firmly against her face, and her lip stick to the side of the ball then stack out in the most hilarious manner.
In fact, Jimmy hit so hard, that even he was concerned that he might have hurt Julia and immediately rushed to her aid, when she began clutching at one tooth that seemed to wobble from the hit. Watch the video and get a hearty laugh.
