Though it might be a little hard to believe, Julia Roberts is the kind of person that likes to have the final word in an argument, be it in this life or the next. A report by the National Enquirer claims that the actress made some less than flattering comments during her eulogy at her half-sister's funeral.

Julia traveled all the way to her hometown of Smyrna, Georgia, so she could attend the funeral of her half-sister Nancy Motes who committed suicide with a drug overdose in February this year at the age of 37.

It is known that their relationship was strained and that Motes blamed her sister for driving her to depression and drugs by treating her like an outcast and not being supportive of her movie career. Motes' fiancé has been claiming that it was Julia and the rest of the family who are to blame for her suicide.

Many people who came to attend the funeral believed that Roberts came to make her peace with her departed sister but were instead shocked when the actress launched in to a “harsh” and “bizarre” eulogy.

The source describes her words as having left people in attendance as “stunned” and “shocked,” shaking their heads in disbelief. One witness told the tabloid that “She said that after hearing everyone, she felt [ripped off] and pissed!”

She also added that “Nancy’s … Gone and not coming back.” The witness recalls that “Julia said that, as her sister, she just wanted to ‘wring’ her neck because she didn’t wait to see the joy that comes with the morning.”

It seems mourners were taken aback when Julia revealed that she admired her sister for her gesture. The 46-year-old actress believed that “her sister took control and ended her pain when she had no other tolls to cope with it … She said that she admired that she had the strength to do what she did, to end her pain.”

The source describes the impact this statement had on the people at the scene, “When Julia said that, people were really shocked. The whole scene was really bizarre.”

The weird thing is that the funeral wasn't attended by John Dilbeck, Motes' fiancé, and neither were any of her close friends present at the actual burial and the service. It looks like they wanted to distance themselves from her family and chose not to be present in her final moments.

Since this report comes from the National Enquirer who has previously had some pretty big, big swing and misses, it should be taken with a grain of salt.
