In 2013, Bieber’s bodyguards roughed up a paparazzo

Justin Bieber had better not make any plans to travel to Argentina soon because there’s an arrest warrant in his name for assault. The incident occurred in 2013, when he sicced his bodyguards on a paparazzo who was filming him emerging from club Ink surrounded by a bevy of girls.

Video of the incident is included below. The pap worked for @FarandulaShow and told the cops later that 3 of Bieber’s bodyguards acted at their boss’ command, chasing, and punching and hitting him until they got the camera from him.

Justin Bieber is a wanted man

Bieber and his mostly-female entourage were exiting club Ink, and his bodyguards made it clear from the start that he didn’t want his picture taken on his way to the waiting vans, one for him, another for his girls.

One paparazzo ignored the warning and tried to sneak in some footage of the pop star: he was probably thinking that something must be out of the ordinary if he was so desperate to avoid attention, and he wanted to get his “money shot.”

Instead, he got chased down the street and backed up against a corner, while the three bodyguards hit him to make him give up the camera or at least the memory card. According to the website of the agency, once they got it from him, they passed to a club bouncer, who took back in the club.

Apparently, the camera continued recording and there’s even more explosive footage coming our way in the next few days.

Meanwhile, a judge has issued an arrest warrant in Justin’s name: apparently, he was supposed to show up in court to respond to the charges, but he never did.

Judge Alberto Julio Baños issued the warrant for Justin Bieber, Hugo Alcides Hesny and Terrence Reche Smalls, telling TMZ, “I consider it pertinent to order the immediate detention of the accused.”

Bieber’s rep tells the same media outlet that there must be some misunderstanding at play here because the assault case has long been settled. If it was, it looks like someone forgot to tell the judge about it.

Justin Bieber is trying to clean up his image

Word of the new warrant comes just as Justin was about to close the book on this troubled chapter in his life. For the past couple of years, the pop star has been leading a less than exemplary life, getting arrested for DUI and drag racing, getting into fights with paparazzi, throwing massive parties that end with police calls, and sleeping with random groupies without NDAs.

His bad boy behavior took a serious toll on his reputation and prevented him from increasing his fanbase beyond the age segment he had already conquered with his music.

When it became clear to him that only a complete act of penance and owning up would help him do that, he agreed to have Comedy Central roast him, knowing that he would become a target for the very things that had sullied his reputation as the world’s favorite teen heartthrob.

The Roast aired late last month and Justin followed it up by announcing a new album, as was to be expected. The last thing he needed right now was another assault charge.
