Jude Law Arrested

The handsome British star finally lost his temper with a photographer - but unfortunately for him he lost it a little too hard

Jude Law definitely has a soft spot when it comes to photographers and cameramen - but not in the way you'd expect. The British star hates the paparazzi to death, and he was quite open and vocal about his disgust with them over the years.

Law is also very concerned and keen to protect his children (Rafferty, ten, Iris, seven, and Rudy, four) from the public glare, from which they were not spared in the past, particularly during his divorce from ex wife Sadie Frost. It was therefore only a matter of time before the actor also decided to act on his dislike and this happened earlier today in front of his West London home.

Law reportedly attacked a photographer, who was left with "minor injuries", which apparently didn't prevent him from calling the police. The photographer later stated: "I was at a bus stop near Jude's house but I wasn't taking pictures of him. My camera was still in the bag. He was by himself when he recognised me and started accusing me of being a paedophile and that all I wanted to do was take pictures of his children. I was shocked at his behaviour".

Yup, that sure sounds like Jude. The actor also got into trouble with the police in 2003, shortly before he split up with Sadie Frost, when the two were having a rather too heated argument that had to be broken up by police officers. A police spokesman confirmed that officers attended the incident today and said that "Police were called out in the Maida Vale area after reports of a disturbance and inquiries are being made".

Law was shipped off to Marylebone police station on suspicion of "causing bodily harm" and got out on bail, but has to return next month for an official hearing. The actor had only just returned from the Venice Film Festival where he was promoting his film Sleuth, in which he stars alongside Sir Michael Caine.

We all hope Jude doesn't get into too much trouble, as it would be a pity to know he's rotting in jail somewhere rather than making good movies and chatting up the ladies. I was kidding about the "rotting in jail" part, but he's sure to end up keeping Naomi Campbell company in some anger management classes. Which in the end might not be such a horrible thing.
