Joss Whedon shoots down rumors that he’s making a huge fortune on “The Avengers 2”

Everyone involved in Marvel’s superhero films is making a bucketload of money and writer / director Joss Whedon is one of them. However, he’s denying ongoing reports that he’s being paid a whopping $100 million (€76.6 million) for the second installment of “The Avengers.”

In a hilarious post on his Whedonesque site, the director admits that he’s comfortably off thanks to the superhero flick but he’s not making the kind of money the tabs are saying he’s making.

Also, he snacks on unicorns, FYI.

“Some facts are not facts. I'm not going to go into the whole thing, but jeepers, I'm not getting $100 mil on Avengers 2. If I were, I would come on this site and laugh and laugh and laugh,” he writes.

“I'm not making Downey money. I'm making A LOT, which is exciting. I'm not pretending to be a poor farmer, an Everyman, an ANYman. But that number is nuts,” Whedon adds.

RDJ recently came clean and admitted that his contract for “Avengers” made him $50 million (€38.3 million) richer.

However, Whedon gets to eat unicorns. His entire, hilarious (as always) post is available at the link in the second paragraph.
