Say goodbye to Mrs. Diane Brolin and hello to Diane Lane again, as the famous actor-couple have finally became divorced, legally, that is.

Actress Diane Lane was the one who first filled for divorce back in February – right on Valentine's Day, mind you – citing “irreconcilable differences” and now the court has decided to grant the divorce to the couple that had been married since 2004.

It wasn't the first time for either of them when they said their “I do's” at Brolin's ranch back in August 2004, so it looked like both of them were doing this for keeps this time.

All was not well in the Brolin household for long though, because just months after their marriage, Brolin was arrested for spousal battery. The only reason the the matter didn't reach court was because Diane did not press charges.

Then came 2013, when Josh had a little run-in with police, when he was arrested in Santa Barbara on New Years' for public intoxication and causing some mischief, which he later described as just some harmless holiday fun.

At the time, he smiled, paid the fine and seemed to be on his merry way, but last month he checked himself into rehab for alcohol related problems which landed him in hot water yet again with authorities around Halloween, when he picked a fight with a patron of the Irish Pub where he was drinking.

Sources close to the troubled actor said at the time that he was committed to his sobriety but needed help.

All these antics could be source of the split with actress Diane Lane who is not seeking spousal support, but did choose to drop Josh's surname in favor of her own.

Court documents obtained by TMZ show that the couple have reached a private financial agreement after their 8 years of marriage. They both have children from outside their marriage, but none with one another, so child support won't be an issue in this case.

Josh Brolin (45) is still being treated at a rehab facility in Northern California. If he does manage to stay on the wagon, he might prove a good catch for any of the ladies willing to give the “No Country for Old Men” actor a try.
