It was a pretty innocent thing, actor says of being busted for public intoxication

Josh Brolin rang in the New Year in a prison cell after he was busted by cops for public intoxication and had to spend several hours in prison to sober up. He explained the arrest on Good Morning America, as the video below will confirm.

Brolin can now be seen on the big screen in the star-studded “Gangster Squad,” so my guess is he totally saw the question about his arrest coming from miles away.

He handled it with grace and humor, though.

“New Year’s, that’s what happened. It was New Year’s. It was a pretty innocent thing. It was a fun thing,” he said.

He does regret one thing about that night: that horrendous mugshot in which he looks like the most bitter, aggressive man you could ever imagine.

“The most awful thing about it is you see this shot of me, they don’t show you the other shot when I turn and I have a huge smile on my face,” the actor said, adding a word of praise for the cops who arrested him, whom he found “very sweet, actually.”
