Chris Nolan has already said his goodbyes to the Batman franchise with the third and final installment, “The Dark Knight Rises,” but people are still talking about the meaning of the final scene. So is Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The actor recently sat down with MTV News and, among other things, also talked about the possibility of a future sequel to TDKR, without Chris Nolan but possibly with his John Blake character.

Video of that segment of the interview is below, embedded at the end of this post.

Though he'd be thrilled to be part of more Batman films, Joe admits that he has no idea whether that will ever happen. It's not up to him either.

He also reveals he and Nolan never talked about the meaning of the ending, which is somewhat hard to believe, knowing that the director is more of a cerebral inclination.
