Jose Mourinho's New Haircut Means War

Jose Mourinho is ready to start the battle for a new Premiership title. Even if Chelsea won the last two - soon after the Portuguese took on the squad - that doesn't mean that their 3rd will be another piece of cake. They managed to finish last season well ahead of Manchester, Arsenal and Liverpool, but all those teams got better this summer. Still, Chelsea remained the highest-spending team in the Premier League, making the most of the transfer season.

With Michael Ballack and Andryi Shevchenko inside the new team, the Portuguese tactician - chosen by the FA as the best for the last season
- warns the other title contenders that Chelsea means business and that the only thing that he's after is the Premiership title.

"Look at my haircut. I am ready for the war. The objective is to win the Premiership. I don't want to dominate, to finish without defeat, to finish with record points or goals or consecutive victories. The Premiership is so difficult you cannot be focused on that. I just think about winning. I think everybody is better, or will be better after the transfer window. You look to the other teams and I think they will improve - big teams like Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal", said Mourinho, admitting that the 3 English "giants" are the one he's going to compete against in the season to come.

As for the players going out of Chelsea, Jose Mourinho made it very clear that Arjen Robben will not leave the club. More, he stated that he wants both Duff and Del Horno in the squad, but it's hard to do that with all the new players coming on Stanford Bridge: "I have a few I want to leave. I have always a lot I am desperate to keep. And I've always a couple I'd love to keep but who I don't have the courage to keep when I cannot promise them 75 per cent of the matches. Damien Duff and Asier are in that category".

Chelsea's owner, Russian Roman Abramovich, is now trying to bring Mourinho another top player. Kaka is believed to be very close to a move to Stanford Bridge, since the Russian billionaire offered the Milanese club 100 million euros for the Brazilian midfielder.
