As the world mourns the lives lost on Titanic in the tragedy of 100 years ago, baseball pro Jose Canseco has taken to Twitter to share what he considers to be a very important lesson in global warming.

Because global warming basically makes icebergs melt, Titanic would have been saved, had it been built later than planned, he argues.

In other words, global warming would have totally prevented the tragedy that occurred a century ago.

Since no one can explain Canseco's idea better than Canseco himself, below are some of his tweets, which are already getting a lot of people debating online.

“Titanic 100 years wOw. Global warming couldve saved titanic. Sad to say”

“You clowns it's very simple. With global warming the weather is hotter so the icebergs would be melted and titanic saved.”

“100 years ago people actually cared about planet and respected nature. Now we can care less and consume energy like it's free”

“I had a bat I named Titanic. I was biggest rawlings ever made and beautiful and unbreakable dont know where Titanic is now”
