Jordin Sparks Shows Off New Tattoo on Twitter

Singer Jordin Sparks is looking better and slimmer with each day. Just a couple of months after dropping some weight in preparation for the summer, the star also got a brand new tattoo – and she’s showing it off on Twitter.

A few days after announcing to her fans and followers that she’d just gotten new ink, Jordin revealed a photo of that tattoo in question.

“Tweeting as I get a new tattoo. Number 7. :)” she wrote on her official page a few days ago. Now, she’s back with more details.

“New tat on my rib cage...‘Respira’ I love it. :)” the star added a little later, in a post accompanying the photo of that tattoo in question.

Pressed by fans to speak of the meaning of the new ink, Jordin said she chose it as a reminder to always take things in their stride.

“‘Respira’= Breathe. It’s for my time on ITH, the people I met there & a reminder to take a moment when things get crazy. <3,” Jordin explained.

As we also noted some time ago, Sparks has been getting lots of media attention as of late after deciding to go on a healthy diet and start working out, thus losing the extra weight.

A very loud supporter of the curvy “trend,” Jordin insists her weight loss is not the result of caving in to pressure to be stick thin, but the consequence of a much healthier lifestyle.

“It was just that I know I feel better when I’m more active and I know that it will do well for me in the long run. My schedule is getting so insane and I would much rather be healthy,” Jordin said in a recent interview.

“Every time someone sees a slimmed-down picture of me it’s not because I felt the pressure of the girl next to me being size 2, so I have to be that way too. It’s just making the choice for myself to be healthier, because I know that I’m less sick when I’m more active, I have more energy when I’m more active,” she added.
