One thing is just never enough for the talented, multi-faceted artist that is Katie Price, aka Jordan. If she made a video for 'A Whole New World' and sort of promoted the track, then she must go on TV and perform another of her many songs to convince the 'fans' to buy the album.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Jordan (model, actress, writer and what-not) just finished recording for an album, alongside her hubby (washed out singer and model) Peter Andre. Said material is due out come this Christmas and the glamorous couple is going all the way to make sure that at least ten people in the UK will buy it.
A couple of days ago, Jordan and Peter released their first video together, for the cover of one of the most beautiful songs in history, 'A Whole New World', that they thought they can butcher to their own liking. And that they did...
Leaving aside the 'debut' single (even all these terms that are usually used when someone releases a music album seem far-fetched and hilarious when put next to Katie's name), husband and wife are again set on tormenting the good people in Britain, by performing another cover on a live telethon.
The track they chose for this special occasion was one originally sung by Janet Jackson (thus, the title) and Luther Vandross and let me just say that I honestly don't believe there are bigger asses in this world that these two clowns. First of all, they could make a career in lipsynching! And they must be given some sort of award or something for being so out of everything that they can't even realize when they're supposed to pretend they are singing.
Second of all, you would have thought that the least Jordan can do is dance properly and not just hop around like some confused and scared little rabbit. Can't the woman afford some decent trainer or a few dance lessons?
Anyway, while 'The Best Things In Life Are Free' is far better than 'A Whole New World', in the sense that Katie's voice is digitally altered beyond recognition, it's still a crappy cover that should have never been done. But we'll give them points for doing it for charity. That's right, all the proceeds from the album will go to the Children In Need foundation and both Jordan and Peter have to be applauded for that.
Sure, they could have found some other way to help the children but they were probably out of ideas.
