As part of a major reorganization within his chain of command, Apple CEO Tim Cook has added more responsibilities to the roles of Jonathan Ive, Bob Mansfield, Eddy Cue and Craig Federighi.

Ive in particular has been named chief of Human Interface (HI). He will continue to exercise his role as the head of Industrial Design within Apple. According to Ive’s employers, “His incredible design aesthetic has been the driving force behind the look and feel of Apple’s products for more than a decade.”

Jony Ive and his team have received numerous awards for the minimalistic designs of the iPhone, iMac, iPad, the iPod line, and pretty much every Apple product since 1996.

In 2003, Ive was named Designer of the Year by the Design Museum London. He was awarded the title Royal Designer for Industry by The Royal Society of Arts.
