J.J. Abrams is just getting a chance to breathe now that “Star Trek Into Darkness” is in theaters, but fans are already dying to know what’s happening with the “Star Wars” reboot. Apparently, he’s considering Jonathan Rhys Meyers for lead.

As of now, we only know that Disney will be releasing one movie per year starting with 2015, and that, at least for the first installment, the trio Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher will return.

Latino Review’s El Mayimbe claims to have it on good authority that Abrams is courting “Tudors” star Meyers for a part, which might as well be the lead.

El Mayimbe also broke the news that Harrison Ford would return, so there’s that as well to consider.

“This is a name that has been thrown around a lot, especially since he has a relationship with J.J. Abrams. He appeared in Mission Impossible: III, directed by Abrams,” the report says.

It also mentions that we should expect denials from Abrams, who isn’t exactly the kind of director eager to overshare with fans before a project is out.
