Senior Vice President of Design at Apple, Jonathan Ive has partnered up with designer Marc Newson (who is also a friend of his) to create some cool Product (Red) items for Bono’s well known, AIDS-fighting charity.

Among the items making their way to a charity auction scheduled for November 23 at Sotheby’s New York, the auction house mentions a grand piano, a Dom Perignon bottle with a custom red cooler, a 2012 Range Rover, a pair of rose-gold EarPods, and more.

Commenting on the forthcoming auction, Apple’s design guru said, “It's been a fantastic honor to curate this collection of objects with Marc for the auction at Sotheby's. Each piece represents the value of thoughtful design.”

“What we create for each other is not only a comment on our culture but of course in many ways defines it. (RED) is making a difference in the lives of millions of people and we're humbled to make this contribution to such an important and worthy cause,” added Ive.

The auction is set to also feature “icons of design” handpicked by Jony and Marc themselves, as well as two unique items created by the duo specifically for the special benefit event.
