When a band as popular with a certain demographic as the Jonas Brothers is taken and put in the same equation in which one adds the most hyped teen vampire movie, like “New Moon,” the sequel to the hit “Twilight,” the result can’t be but smashing. A deal is currently in the making for the Jonas Brothers to record a song for the soundtrack of the upcoming flick, the boys themselves confirm for MTV.

Since the soundtrack for “Twilight,” the first film in the franchise, performed extremely well in all the charts and in terms of sales as well, being offered the opportunity to contribute with a track to the sequel is somewhat like a God’s gift, the singers tell the aforementioned source. As such, they are ecstatic about the prospect even if, so far, nothing has yet been put on paper. However, sources point out, chances of this happening are good.

“The movie was obviously a huge success, and if they asked us to be a part of [the sequel], that would be great.” Nick Jonas tells MTV. “It would be really cool,” he adds, while Joe and Kevin agree, “That would be really cool.” The boys also confirm that they have been approached by the movie studio for a track and, while they would love to do it, a definite deal has not yet been reached.

Whereas the boys’ busy schedule has prevented them so far from seeing “Twilight,” they profess to be great fans. “I haven’t seen it. But I have heard it’s a great movie.” Joe admits. “We’re looking forward to seeing it. We’ve been a little busy, so it’s kinda hard to get the movies, but we’ll see it.” Nick explains for MTV.

On a side note, the Jonas Brothers state they came to realize just how much of a hit “Twilight” was when it premiered and distracted the mobs of screaming fans from the boys who, this way, were able to actually go out and grab a pizza. “We were in town [the day of the ‘Twilight’ premiere], because we were working all day on our TV show. That night, we were starving coming home from work. And we wanted to get pizza. The pizza place that we ordered from just happened to be across the street from the premiere. And so, we come up driving, and didn’t realize that it was the ‘Twilight’ premiere. It was one of those comical moments that was really funny for us.” Kevin tells MTV.

“New Moon” drops in theaters on November 20. For more details on the Jonas Brothers and their contribution to the soundtrack of the film, stay tuned here.

Please say this isn't true. They haven't even SEEN Twilight. Obviously they're just jumping on the bandwagon, hoping to mooch off of Twilight's success. I don't, like, have it out for them or anything. They actually aren't half bad. But please, please don't let them near New Moon! They should stick to feel-good Disney flicks for now.

Yuck. THEY ARE NOT RIGHT FOR THIS SOUNDTRACK
I am EXTREMELY dissapointed
Come on! Haven't even seen the movie?
They just care about the $$ and the publicity they *think* they'll get out of this.. Do they even know what the movies about and how wrong a fit they are? GRRRRR

Yes! Go them! As I don't want this movie to be a Disney movie, since all the adding of Disney/Nick stars such as Dakota Fanning, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel, and Brenda Song, I do want Jonas Brothers to be in it! They're amazing! And just to let you all know, they started off with Columbia Records, not Disney. So go them! And hate makes you ugly, for the rest of you!

Now I have nothing against them, but I don't believe that they perform in the right style and tone of music for this saga. Their music is too..... hm how should I put it.... teen-fan-girlish. Muse, Paramore, and Linkin Park are much better suited for the soundtracks of each of the four books in the saga. Again, nothing against the Jo-Bros, but I say NOOO on the soundtrack.
