“Use me as an example of what not to do,” the usually cheerful actor said

Jonah Hill seems to be still very much affected by the fact that he was caught swearing at a paparazzo that kept pestering him. The issue here is not that the actor flew off the handle, but the fact that he used a gay slur in his rant against the antagonizing photographer.

Even if he had already asked for an apology, the comedic actor was unable to put this incident past him and last night, when he showed up on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he took a moment to address the issue yet again, according to E! Online.

As he announced his intention to address the incident, the crowd cheered him on, but Jonah warned them, “Unfortunately, this isn't a joke.” He went on to relate the incident for those that didn't know the entire story.

“This weekend I was out with some friends and there was a paparazzi guy, and he was antagonizing me and calling me names, attacking me personally and my family personally, and I was genuinely hurt by this and made angry by this,” Jonah explained.

He goes on with the hardest part of the confession for him and sets the record straight about what he really meant when he used the gay slur, “In response, I wanted to hurt him back and I said the most hurtful word that I could think of at that moment. I didn't mean this in the sense of the word. I didn't mean it in a homophobic way.”

At this point, the actor seemed on the verge of tears and also got chocked up for a second before continuing to make his point. “Words have weight and meaning. The word I chose was grotesque and no one deserves to say or hear words like that,” he went on.

His ending is actually a very decent thing to say and you can tell that the guy is genuinely sorry for his actions and now his common sense is kicking in.

“I'm sorry and I don't deserve or expect your forgiveness, but what I ask is at home, if you're watching this and you're a young person especially, if someone says something that hurts you or angers you, use me as an example of what not to do. Don't respond with hatred or anger because you're just adding more ugliness to the world,” he concluded.

Moreover, Jonah claimed that he was fully entitled for every repercussion of his actions and that he didn't expect to get any forgiveness from fans or any slack.
