Almost one year ago, Jonah Hill shocked the world when, on the red carpet at the ESPY Awards, he unveiled a much slimmer figure. Today, he seems to be back to his pre-diet weight.

As we also noted at the time, Jonah's drastic weight loss was mostly due to his casting the buddy cop comedy “21 Jump Street,” which also starred Channing Tatum, who has always been in incredible physical shape.

Jonah never really said that he'd started the diet for the film, but he never really went out of his way to deny reports claiming so.

This begs the question of whether his more recent weight gain isn't also down to a new movie role, the Huffington Post writes.

“We were wowed last year when Hollywood funny guy Jonah Hill showed off his new, slimmer figure. But after living in some much smaller pants for about a year, Hill seems to have returned to his pre-weight loss size,” the publication writes.

“The 'Superbad' actor was photographed at a Los Angeles gas station, filling up and filling out his blue and white dress shirt,” the Post says.

Indeed, the photo shows that Hill is almost back to where he started, before he embarked on the healthier lifestyle.

“So is Hill's yo-yo look just part of show business, which has been known to force stars to lose then re-gain weight for a movie role? It appeared as though Hill initially lost weight to play a rookie cop in '21 Jump Street,' although he said he just wanted to be healthy,” the Post goes on to say.

Admittedly, Hill could not have played the part of a cop at his pre-diet weight but, then again, he seemed pretty convincing when he talked about how being thinner had changed his life.

Then again, he also said that, even though he ate healthily and would often feel bad after indulging in junk food, he still couldn't swear off beer.
